J.J. O'Neal is a safety for Missouri State, standing 6'2" and weighing 180 pounds. The Rogersville, Missouri native joined the Bears as a true freshman in 2022 after a decorated high school career at Logan-Rogersville High, where he earned Big 8 East Conference Offensive Player of the Year honors in 2021. O'Neal has appeared in all contest opportunities across his tenure, recording 43 total tackles in 2024 with seven passes defended and one interception. During the 2025 season, he started at USC on August 30 before taking a redshirt, appearing in the first four games and recording 12 total tackles, one interception, and 0.5 tackles for loss.
