Jeron Askren, a 6'3" tight end from Wichita, Kansas, joined Missouri State as a true freshman in 2024, appearing in 4 games to preserve his redshirt eligibility. In 2025, his sophomore season, Askren played in all 13 games with 11 starts and recorded 19 receptions for 224 yards and 5 touchdown catches, setting an MSU freshman record. He caught the game-winning 8-yard touchdown against Marshall on 9/6/25 and hauled in a 75-yard touchdown reception against LA Tech on 11/29/25.
