Robert Lathon Jr. is a true freshman running back for Middle Tennessee. The Columbus, Ohio native from Bishop Hartley High School was a three-star recruit with a recruiting services and rating of 0.855. During his high school career, Lathon accumulated 6,500 all-purpose yards and 82 total touchdowns while setting school records with 5,700 rushing yards, 78 touchdowns, and 6 touchdowns in a single game. As a junior he rushed for 2,032 yards and 27 touchdowns. In his senior season, he recorded 1,138 rushing yards, 17 touchdowns, and 23 receptions.
