NiJhay Burt is a redshirt senior left cornerback from Homestead, Pennsylvania who attended Steel Valley High School. He played three seasons at Eastern Illinois (2022-24), appearing in 31 games before transferring to Michigan State in January 2025. At Eastern Illinois, Burt compiled 83 tackles, six interceptions, four tackles for loss, three pass breakups, and two blocked kicks. During his 2024 junior season, he started all 12 games at cornerback and led the Panthers with three interceptions while recording 64 tackles.
