Samuel Coufal is a defensive tackle for the Miami Hurricanes standing 6'2" and weighing 270 pounds. A native of Wales, Wisconsin, he attended Kettle Moraine High School. Coufal redshirted during his true freshman season in 2023. In 2024, his redshirt freshman year, he appeared in two games, making his collegiate debut against Florida A&M on September 7 and playing in a victory over Ball State. During the 2025 season, Coufal took the field in four contests, including games against Bethune-Cookman on September 6 and USF on September 30, along with appearances in the VRBO Fiesta Bowl against Ole Miss and the College Football Playoff National Championship Game versus Indiana.
