Ejani Shakir is a 6'0", 190-pound wide receiver from Pennsauken, New Jersey, who transferred to Maryland from Independence CC. During his sophomore season at Independence, he caught 43 passes for 724 yards with six scores in 10 contests and accumulated 397 return yards on kickoffs and punts, averaging 25.2 yards per kickoff return. He earned First Team All-KJCCC honors at receiver and Second Team All-KJCCC recognition as a returner. Over his prep career, Shakir appeared in 35 games with 159 receptions, 2,514 yards, and 26 touchdowns.
