Darrell Carey is a 6'2", 185-pound defensive back from Washington, DC, who attended DeMatha Catholic High School. A consensus 3-star recruit in the 2026 class, Carey was rated the No. 12 overall player from Maryland and No. 35 safety nationally by recruiting services. In his final high school season, he recorded 29 tackles, 10 pass break-ups, and three interceptions. Carey selected Maryland over Penn State, Indiana, and Oregon.
