Daniel Owens is a tight end for the Maryland Terrapins from Pikesville, MD, where he attended Calvert Hall. The 6'4", 266-pound redshirt senior was a three-star recruit in the class of 2022. As a redshirt junior in 2025, Owens transitioned from defensive line to tight end, appearing in nine games with one start and making three tackles against Towson. He also served as game captain against Indiana and received the Public Service Award at year-end. In 2024, he recorded nine tackles (six solo) and a half-sack against Villanova on September 21.
