Daniel Leahy is a true freshman placekicker for the Maryland Terrapins from Dublin, Ireland. Standing 6'6" and weighing 225 pounds, Leahy attended Blackrock College, a renowned rugby institution in Ireland. He transitioned to American football in March 2025 following a Leader Kicking session in his home country, the same pathway that led to the development of Terps kicker Sean O'Haire. Prior to taking up football, Leahy was a successful rugby player; his father played professional rugby in Ireland. Kohl's Kicking rated him among the highest-rated prospects in the 2025 class.
