Richard Anderson is a true freshman defensive lineman at LSU standing 6'3" and weighing 339 pounds. A native of New Orleans, Anderson prepped at Edna Karr High School, where he was named the Class 5A Outstanding Defensive Player and earned first-team All-State honors in 2025. During his senior season, he recorded 53 tackles, 10 sacks, and 22 quarterback hurries while recovering 2 fumbles and returning an interception for a touchdown. As a junior, Anderson tallied 44 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, and 10 sacks. He helped Edna Karr win back-to-back Division I Select state titles in 2024 and 2025, part of a 28-game winning streak to close his high school career.
