Caleb Matelau is a 6'1", 225-pound linebacker for the Louisville Cardinals who hails from Bradenton, Florida, and attended Manatee High School. A three-star recruit in the 2025 class, he chose Louisville over offers from Wake Forest and Pittsburgh. During his high school career, Matelau accumulated over 252 tackles. In his junior season, he recorded 96 tackles, six tackles for loss, and two sacks, while posting 92 tackles as a sophomore. Matelau made his collegiate debut in 2025 against Eastern Kentucky.
