Jack Tanner is a 6'6", 317-pound left tackle from Highland Village, Texas, who transferred to Kansas from Tulsa. At Marcus High School, he was a three-year letterwinner and two-time starter, recording 24 career games at offensive tackle with 11 starts each in his junior and senior seasons. He earned first-team all-district 6-6A honors twice and was named an academic all-state elite team member as a senior. During his 2024 freshman year at Tulsa, Tanner appeared in nine games, seeing action at multiple positions including left tackle and right guard, with a season-high 95 snaps against UAB.
