Jameson McCollough is a true freshman linebacker for Jacksonville State, standing 6'1" and weighing 215 pounds. The Austell, Georgia native played at Hillgrove High School in Powder Springs, where he earned 2024-25 All-State honors. In his senior season, McCollough recorded 66 total tackles (40 solo, 26 assisted), 21 tackles for loss, six sacks, one forced fumble, and two interceptions as Hillgrove finished 9-3 and won a playoff game over North Paulding. He committed to Jacksonville State after receiving Division I scholarship offers from multiple programs including Appalachian State, James Madison, Liberty, Memphis, South Florida, and Troy.
