Chima Chineke is a defensive end for the Iowa Hawkeyes. The 6'4", 262-pound true freshman from Plano, Texas was a three-star recruit ranked 536th nationally in the 2024 class. At Plano East, Chineke accumulated 60 tackles with nine tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks as a senior, earning unanimous first-team all-district honors and team captain designation. He led Texas Class 6A in sacks during his junior year, when he posted 6.5 sacks among 35 total tackles. Chineke appeared in Iowa's 47-7 victory over UMass in 2025 but did not record statistics.
