Davon Grant is a 6'4", 220-pound wide receiver from DeKalb, Illinois, who joined Illinois as a true freshman for the 2026 class. A three-star recruit ranked 548th nationally, Grant earned national outlets's #45 position ranking and was tabbed the 2025 DeKalb Daily Chronicle Football Player of the Year. At DeKalb High School under head coach Derek Schneeman, he compiled 153 receptions for 2,711 yards and 21 touchdowns as a three-year letterwinner and school record holder. Grant earned three consecutive all-conference selections and three Illinois High School Football Coaches Association All-State Honorable Mention honors. He also earned recruitment offers from Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. Grant is majoring in recreation, sport, and tourism. From Dekalb, IL.
