Khalil Barnes is a safety from Athens, Georgia who attended North Oconee High School before playing at Clemson. As a high school senior, he was the composite recruiting rankings four-star prospect ranked #399 nationally and #21 among athlete prospects. At Clemson, Barnes recorded 41 tackles, six pass breakups, three forced fumbles and three interceptions as a freshman while appearing in all 13 games with seven starts, earning First-Team Freshman All-American honors from recruiting services, the FWAA and recruiting services. As a sophomore, he totaled 60 tackles, five pass breakups and four interceptions in 14 games while helping the Tigers to a 10-4 record and ACC Championship. In his junior year, Barnes registered 46 tackles and five pass breakups in 10 games with nine starts. He transferred to Georgia in winter 2026. From North Oconee · Athens, GA.
