Bio

Spencer Mermans is a 6'6", 260-pound tight end from Charlotte, NC, who transferred to Georgia Tech as a redshirt junior. An all-state selection in high school under coach Drew Witman, Mermans set school records in shot put and discus as a track and field athlete. He graduated from Yale with a degree in economics before joining the Yellow Jackets, becoming the second tight end to transfer from Yale to Georgia Tech in three seasons alongside former teammate Jackson Hawes, who was drafted by Buffalo in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
