Jakyri Jones is a 5'10", 195-pound defensive back for Georgia Southern. A native of Monroe, GA, he attended Monroe Area High School, where he earned two first-team all-state selections and three first-team all-region honors. Jones began his college career at GMC, recording 14 tackles and an interception in seven games during 2023-24, then 48 tackles with 5.0 for loss in 12 games the following year. In 2025-26 with Southeastern Louisiana, he appeared in 13 games with 10 starts, tallying 75 tackles (8.0 for loss), three pass breakups, and two forced fumbles.
