Lagonza Hayward is a safety from Lyons, Georgia, who attended Toombs County High School. A consensus four-star recruit ranked No. 35 overall in the Class of 2025, Hayward made his collegiate debut for Florida against LIU in 2025. During his freshman season, he appeared in 11 games and recorded 12 total tackles (seven solo), one sack, two hurries, and 3.5 tackles-for-loss. His first career sack came in the third quarter against No. 7 Ole Miss. Hayward earned SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll recognition and currently returns as a sophomore for the Gators.
