Evan Chieca is a tight end for the Florida Gators who transferred from New Haven. The 6'4", 257-pound redshirt junior from Lindenhurst, New York played three seasons of varsity football at Lindenhurst High School, where he served as a team captain for two seasons. At New Haven, Chieca redshirted in 2023 before appearing in 10 games in 2024 with 12 receptions for 79 yards and one touchdown. In 2025, his final year with the Newcomers, he started all 10 games and recorded 31 receptions for 255 yards and four touchdowns while earning Phil Steele All-NEC Second Team honors.
