AJ Cottrill is a redshirt senior linebacker for Florida State from Tampa, Florida, where he attended Jesuit High School. At Jesuit, he recorded 532 tackles, including 45.0 for loss with 6.0 sacks across three varsity seasons, helping lead the Tigers to a 40-4 record and a 6A state title in 2021. Cottrill appeared in two games during his freshman year in 2022 before redshirting. In 2025, he played in all 12 games and posted 15 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks.
