Zach Atkins, a 6'4" tight end from Olathe, Kansas, transferred to Colorado from Northwest Missouri State. At Northwest Missouri State, he played three seasons under head coach Rich Wright, recording 30 receptions for 360 yards and four touchdowns. In 2025, his first year with the Buffaloes, Atkins appeared in all 12 games with seven starts. He caught 20 passes for 149 yards and added one rushing touchdown against Houston following a fumble recovery. He ranked 16th in Big 12 receptions and 17th in receiving yards among tight ends.
