Tyler Martinez, a 6'1", 220-pound linebacker from Albuquerque, New Mexico, transferred to Colorado after three seasons at New Mexico State. At Volcano Vista High School, he recorded 145 tackles, 29.5 tackles for loss, and seven sacks during his senior year. Martinez appeared in 13 games as a freshman Aggie in 2023, totaling 22 tackles and three tackles for loss. He started all 12 games in 2024, leading New Mexico State's defense with 96.0 total tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss while earning Second Team All-CUSA honors.
