Braden Hales is a 6'5", 305-pound center from Olathe, Kansas, where he attended Olathe North High School under coach Chris McCartney. A 3-star composite recruit, Hales was a three-sport letterwinner in football, wrestling, and track, earning two-time first-team All-State honors and serving as his team's football captain as a senior. He redshirted during the 2024 season and appeared in four games during the 2025-26 campaign, participating in contests against Washington State, Northern Colorado, New Mexico, and San Diego State.
