Bio

Brett McCalla is a 6'4", 220-pound linebacker for Central Michigan. The Manhattan Beach, California native graduated from Mira Costa High School in June 2022 and signed with Central Michigan in June 2026 after four seasons at Central Washington. At Central Washington, McCalla started in 27 of 34 games played, recording 177 total tackles with 16.5 tackles for loss. He intercepted three passes for 115 yards and two touchdowns. In 2025 as a redshirt junior, McCalla earned First Team All-Lone Star Conference honors after appearing in 12 games with 71 tackles, five tackles for loss, and two interception-return touchdowns including a 90-yard return.
