David Bird is a long snapper from Phoenix, Arizona, who attended Sandra Day O'Connor High School. Bird initially played at California as a freshman in 2023 before transferring to Alabama. During his 2024 season at Cal, he appeared in 25 of 26 contests and played in two bowl games: the 2023 Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl and the 2024 LA Bowl Hosted by Gronk, recording no errant snaps. As a junior at Alabama in 2025, Bird played in 14 of 15 games and was named to the 2025 Mannelly Award Watch List. He has rejoined California for the 2026 season as a senior transfer.
