Ephraim Asiata is a 6'3", 210-pound SLB from West Valley, Utah, and son of former Minnesota Vikings running back Matt Asiata. A three-star recruit in the 2024 class, he recorded 53 total tackles and 21.0 tackles for loss at Herriman High School while earning 6A All-State Second Team honors. At Hunter High School, he posted 77 tackles and 13.0 sacks as a sophomore in 2021. Asiata redshirted in 2025, appearing in four regular-season contests against Portland State, Stanford, East Carolina, and UCF, where he recorded two total tackles. He is a junior returning to the BYU roster.
