Yakiri Walker is a center from Dallas who prepped at DeSoto High School, where he earned first-team all-district honors and was named to the 2020 All-State Academic Team. Walker redshirted in 2021 before appearing in five games in 2022. He logged 797 snaps across 12 games for UConn in 2023, recording a 70.0 pass-block grade and allowing just three penalties. After playing one game at Colorado in 2024, Walker transferred to Memphis for the 2025 season, where he started all 13 games at center. He led Memphis with 845 offensive snaps and allowed four sacks and 20 QB hurries according to analytics services, helping the Tigers reach an 8-5 record while averaging 34.5 points per game.
