Sam Feeney is a rush linebacker for Ball State who stands 6'2" and weighs 205 pounds. The Indianapolis native arrived from Bishop Chatard HS as a three-star prospect in 2024. As a true freshman, he appeared in eight games and recorded seven total tackles while registering three sacks and blocking a punt against Central Michigan on 9/21, the first blocked kick by a Ball State true freshman since 2005. In 2025, Feeney played in four games as a redshirt sophomore, finishing with seven tackles in MAC competition and adding 0.5 sacks, two quarterback hurries, and three tackles in the Cardinals' upset over Ohio.
