Dianté Griffin is a right cornerback from Lima, Ohio, who joined Ball State as a graduate transfer from Ohio State. Standing 5'9" and weighing 187 pounds, Griffin completed four seasons with the Buckeyes after arriving as an invited walk-on in Summer 2022 but did not appear in games during Ohio State's 2024-25 CFP championship season. At Lima High School, he recorded five pass breakups and one forced fumble as a senior in 2021, earning second-team All-Three Rivers Athletic Conference and second-team All-Northwest Ohio honors. Griffin, the grandson of two-time Heisman Trophy winner Archie Griffin, is the seventh family member to play for Ohio State. He holds one year of eligibility remaining with the Cardinals.
