Bio

Derion Talbert is a 5'8" wide receiver from Lexington, Kentucky, where he attended Frederick Douglass High School. During his prep career, he helped the Broncos reach two Class 6A semifinals (2023, 2024), compete in a Class 6A championship run (2021), and win a Class 6A title (2022). He earned three-star recognition and received offers from Mid-American Conference programs Western Michigan, Kent State, and Miami. Talbert joined Ball State as a freshman and returns for the 2026 season, sharing the roster with fellow Frederick Douglass alumni Caden Johnson and TJ Horton.
