Maurice Mathis Jr. is a 6'1", 186-pound wide receiver from Warner Robins, Georgia, where he attended Houston County High School. As a senior, he recorded 62 receptions for 1,207 yards and 16 touchdowns, leading the Bears to a 10-2 record and a second-round berth in the Georgia state playoffs. In his junior year, he caught 64 passes for 1,025 yards and 11 touchdowns. Ranked as a four-star prospect by Rivals.com and a top-50 wideout nationally, he signed with Alabama in January after initially committing to Samford. Mathis is a true freshman with the Crimson Tide.
