Rodrick Hunter is a free safety for the Akron Zips. The Atlanta native attended Carver High School, where he was rated a three-star recruit and ranked in the top 200 players in Georgia by recruiting services before joining the program for the 2023 spring season. In 2024, Hunter appeared in four games and recorded eight tackles, including four against South Carolina on 9/21/24. During the 2025 season, he appeared in 11 games with four starts, posting 28 total tackles (13 solo, 15 assisted), 1.5 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack, and two pass breakups.
